October Fun -So Much to Do!!

October has arrived with cooler temperatures and so many activities-this will be a little longer blog than the last few-we can try to consolidate a little!!

Lets start with  pumpkin-patch-express

Saturday and Sunday
October 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30
at 11:30 AM, 2:30 pm

The Pumpkin Patch Express runs  from the Rusk Depot during the pumpkin-expressOctober.  Children (ages 2-12) can pick up their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, visit Trick or Treat Street, and enjoy a hayride, games, music and more!  Kids should wear your costumes!  A food vendor will be available at the pumpkin patch. Fun times for you and the kids!!

Ok so the next big thing this month is            The Texas Rose Festival

Gates open at 10:00am and close at 4:00pm

Come learn about rescued chimpanzees and other primates; horses and burros; tigers and bobcats; iguanas and African tortoises; antelope; deer; ostriches; llamas; American bison; and dozens of other species now living lives of peace and compassion at the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch sanctuary. 2016 Fall New Home Tour Oct. 14-16, 21-23new-home-tour

Everyone enjoys looking at new homes and ideas. The showcase of new houses by the area’s leading builders The properties will be on view Oct. 14 to 16 and Oct. 21 to 23. Tour times are: 3 to 8 p.m. on the Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. on the Sundays.
